Water Dog Lake

Water Dog Lake

Theo and I set off early on Saturday morning to go hike and explore a little lake (aka pond) near our house. The Bay Area is filled to the brim with a million people but somehow there are these little pockets of nature that are tucked away and hidden from the chaos.

It's crazy watching how much Theo is changing. He's quickly transitioning from being a baby into being a little boy. His hair is getting long and his vocabulary is exploding. My favorite thing is to hear him tell me stories and use his limited words to tell me about the magical world going on in his head.

We hiked to the lake, through rocks in the water, and explored the water's edge. Sometimes when I with him it's easy for me to get lost in his world and almost become a kid again. We can bounce back and forth between a father-son relationship and just friends. I hope that never changes.
